Type once, get every style that works on X: bold, italic, cursive, Gothic, outline, tiny, bubbles and more. Copy any version and paste it into your display name, bio or post.
| Input | Output |
|---|---|
| Your Name (Bold script) | ๐จ๐ธ๐พ๐ป ๐๐ช๐ถ๐ฎ |
| NEWS (Bold) | ๐๐๐๐ |
| daily notes (Italic) | ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ |
| 2026 (Outline) | ๐๐๐๐ |
The classic use is a styled display name that stands out in replies and quote posts. Styled text also works well for the first line of a bio, for emphasis inside a post (a bold keyword where Markdown is unavailable), and for community or event names. Keep your @handle plain: it only accepts letters, digits and underscore, and a plain handle is what people type to mention you.
| Place | Support | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Display name | Works | All styles on this page render in timelines, replies and profile headers. |
| Bio | Works | Full Unicode support; cursive and small caps are the most readable choices here. |
| Posts & replies | Works | Styled text posts normally. Remember it counts toward the character limit the same as plain text. |
| @handle | Does not work | Handles allow only A-Z, 0-9 and underscore. Styled characters are rejected โ keep the handle plain and style the display name. |
| Search & hashtags | Limited | Styled words are different characters, so they do not match plain-text searches or trends. Put keywords in plain text. |
X restricts handles to ASCII letters, digits and underscore so that mentions and URLs stay unambiguous โ styled Unicode characters are rejected at the form level. The display name field has no such restriction, which is why everyone puts fonts there instead.
It can: search treats ๐๐๐ฆ๐ and Name as different strings, so people searching the plain spelling will not find the styled one. A common compromise is a styled first word plus the plain spelling later in the name or bio.
Yes โ the characters are rendered by your device's fonts, not by X, so anywhere the text appears it keeps its style: iOS and Android apps, mobile web and desktop.
Unicode does not define a styled form for every letter โ for example there is no small-capital x and no superscript q. The generator leaves those characters unchanged instead of substituting a lookalike, which is the honest behaviour every correct converter shares.
